W Motors is set to unveil its first super car, the LykanHyperSport 2013, at the third Qatar Motor Show this January 29, 2013. With only seven units to go on sale with a price tag of US$3.4 million the LykanHyperSport will be the Arab nation's first high performance luxury sports car.
“When we initially set up the company in Beirut earlier this year, our launch event attracted thousands of people from the automotive industry, media, politicians, and VIPs,” said Lebanese-born Ralph Debbas, W Motors’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Not only did we herald in the formation of an exclusive automotive industry in the region, but I do believe that our first model, the LykanHypersport 2013, raises the bar for hypercars worldwide.”
The Arabian supercar sports a flat 6, twin-turbo, mid-rear positioned 750 horsepower engine delivering 1000 Nm of torque that will take the car from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of390km/h.
To make the car worth its price, W Motors finished the interior with gold-stitched leather and added diamonds to its LED lights. To add to that, a 3D holographic display with tactile interaction and an ID4Motion interactive panel replaces the traditional dashboard, owners will also have 24/7 dedicated concierge service, the purchase also entitles the owner with a US$200,000 special edition timepiece from Cyrus Klepcys.
“We worked six years with some of the biggest names in the automotive industry to create this revolutionary car,” said Debbas. “Exclusivity, high-performance specs, and luxury – thanks to our partners, we got everything right with the Lykan.”
