Due to the growth of PH economy
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M), an Indian automobile manufacturing company, has officially signed an agreement with one of the Philippines' largest automotive groups headed by Palawan Governor Jose Ch Alvarez.
The said agreement is meant for the expansion of Mahindra’s presence in the Philippines. Sources also say that M&M is determined to expand their operations in the country due to its confidence in the steady and sustained growth of the Philippine economy.
With this, M&M said that Xylo will be one of the first vehicles to be offered in the country. Xylo is the company’s multi-utility vehicle (MUV). The front look of the vehicle is fitted with prominent headlights, a contoured bumper and wide grill.
M&M says the Xylo can accommodate up to eight occupants along with a 60:40 third row seat configuration which will come in handy to optimize luggage space.
The Xylo is powered by a ‘mHawk’ engine that delivers 120 PS and 280 Nm of torque.
M&M is the largest vehicle manufacturer in India. The company is also a key player in the utility vehicle manufacturing sector in the Indian automobile industry. Moreover, it has effectively used India’s growing global market presence in both the automotive and farming industries to push its products in more than 20 countries worldwide.
It will be the second Indian automaker to make its official presence in the Philippines after Tata officially appointed its new distributor late last year.
