Included in the facelift is a redesigned interior with new standard safety features
Hyundai recently revealed the refreshed 2015 Azera at the 2014 Miami International Auto Show. Dubbed by the company as a 'premium sedan', the car now features an updated exterior and interior look along with sophisticated safety tech to increase the Azera's appeal to the market.
Subtle changes done to the exterior of the car include a revised look for the grill, front bumper and rear bumper. The 18-inch alloys have also received an altered design, giving the updated Azera a different appearance from the pre-facelifted version.
Inside, the center console was redesigned and now houses a 8-inch color LCD infotainment system with navigation. Additional interior amenities included in the Azera are illuminated door sill plates and the hands-free Smart Trunk opener.
Powering the 2015 Azera is the 3.3-liter Lamdba II V6 engine. It produces 297 PS with a torque pull of 345 Nm. It has the best-in-class output of 90 HP per liter and the smallest displacement in its class according to the Korean automaker.
Safety features standard included the 2015 Azera are the Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and the Lane Change Assist, which according to Hyundai is a segment-first safety equipment. A nifty feature for those that want to coach first-time drivers in the Azera can make use of the next-generation Blue Link system which include the Vehicle Safeguards Alerts in-Vehicle App. This will allow the user to monitor the car's speed, hours of operation and movement via text message, email or both.
