Tata's cars to be sold under distributor Pilipinas Taj Autogroup

Pilipinas Taj Autogroup, the official distributor of the Indian auto brand, has formally announced the entry of Tata Motors into the Philippine automotive industry with a launch at the 2014 Manila International Auto Show. The entry of Tata means the first official presence of an Indian car company in the Philippines.
At the launch, executives from Tata Motors were present including Mr. R. T. Wasan (Head of International Business for Commercial Vehicles) and Mr. Johnny Oommen (Head of International Business for Passenger Vehicles). Locally, Pilipinas Taj Autogroup, Inc. is headed up by Chairman Mr. Dave Coyukiat and General Manager Nicky Mariano.
“We are thrilled to bring to the Philippine market a range of tough and reliable vehicles from India's largest and most trusted automobile company,” said Coyukiat. “Tata Motors' name resonates worldwide. Their presence in the market will provide a chance for our consumers to choose from its wide product line-up the ideal vehicle for private and commercial use.”
Pilipinas Taj Autogroup, Inc. is headquartered at the Diamond Autogroup Building in Marcos Highway and brings to the market the Manza sedan, Vista hatchback/MPV, the Xenon pick-up, Ace and Super Ace compact commercial trucks.
Tata Manza INI
The Tata Manza is a compact sedan that measures 4413mm long, 1703mm wide and 1530mm tall with a wheelbase of 2520mm. The car is powered by a 1.4 liter gasoline engine that makes 90 PS and 116 Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
Standard features include power windows, alarm, side impact beams, remote locks and an audio unit with USB and Aux-input.
The Tata Vista is the brand's compact hatchback though its width lends it more of an MPV feel. It measures 3850mm long, 1695mm wide and 1550mm tall with a wheelbase of 2470mm. 14 inch steel wheels with full caps are standard.
Powering it is a 1.4 liter engine that makes 75 PS and 113 Newton-meters of torque and has a 5-speed manual as standard. A 1-DIN audio system comes standard with USB and Aux-in. The front windows are powered.
The bigger boy of the bunch, the Tata Xenon is the brand's pick-up truck, powered by a 140 PS, 320 Nm 2.2 liter turbodiesel engine. 4x2 or 4x4 versions are available with 5-speed manual transmissions.
Standard features include remote keyless entry, central locks, an alarm, dual airbags, power windows and mirrors, auto leveling headlamps, an LSD and ABS.
For business owners, Tata offers the Ace, a compact commercial truck. The cab and bed combination measures 3800mm long, 1500mm wide and 1845mm tall. The flatbed measures in at 2140mm long, 1430mm wide and 30mm tall.
The Ace is powered by a 624cc 2 cylinder gasoline engine that makes 38 PS and 51 Newton meters of torque.
Tata Super Ace
The Super Ace is the larger version of the Ace, measuring 4340mm long, 1565mm wide and 1834mm tall. The loadspace measures 2630mm long, 1460mm wide and 300mm tall.
The Super Ace can be specified with a turbodiesel or a gasoline engine.
