An open-top-two-seater concept vehicle

The BMW Group unveiled the MINI Superleggera Vision concept at the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.nThe MINI Superleggera Vision concept is an open-top-two-seater vehicle created by MINI and Touring Superleggera, blending the tradition of classic coachwork construction infused with MINI’s British design concept.   

The front fascia of the MINI Superleggera Vision concept features the traditional two circular headlights and a hexagonal grill. It has a curved wheel arches to give the vehicle a dynamic presence. The MINI Superleggera Vision concept also incorporates the classic MINI bonnet stripes that run on into polished aluminum.

Adding to the vehicle’s exterior design is the horizontal radiator grill along with two fog lights. It also has a circular air inlets and a flat front carbon fiber splitter. On the side, it has the characteristic “Touring” line that the automaker says “embodies both the high art of coachwork building and classic aesthetics.”

The rear of the MINI Superleggera Vision concept has a large shark-fin-like design element. The automaker says it gives concept car a particular longitudinal dynamics. The LED tail lamps are infused with chrome bars and a CFRP diffuser rounds off the rear design of the concept car.

Inside, the dashboard is designed with aluminum sheeting and tube-shaped structural elements. It has a three-spoke steering wheel that mirrors the traditional method of construction.

The center instrument in the middle of the instrument panel features a touch-sensitive control element. Moreover, it also has two circular instruments with metal surrounds situated on the right.

In addition to the analog clock on the far right, the second framed instrument activates the camera that has the function of capturing worthwhile moments on the road.

The elements in the doors and center console are finished in black chrome while the bucket seats are covered in black leather.

However, MINI has not released the powertrain details of the Superleggera Vission concept.
