Equipped with an upgraded 2.0L engine that delivers 487 PS
Mitsubishi has revealed the Lancer Evolution X Final concept ahead of its debut at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon in January.
As previously reported, Mitsubishi plans to cease production of the Lancer Evolution as the company’s spokesperson said last April that they are reallocating their resources to develop high-performance sedans using hybrid technology. With this, the Final concept will be the last model based on the Lancer Evolution X.
The Final concept features a matte black exterior paint, chrome trims along with glossy roof and rear spoiler. The fascia of the vehicle maintains the look of the current Lancer Evo X, but the grill of the Final concept is finished in chrome. It also comes with an HKS height adjustable sport suspension and 19-inch Rays Volk Racing G25 forged aluminum wheels wrapped with Yokohama Advan tires.
Under the hood, it is equipped with an upgraded 2.0-liter engine. It has been fitted with an HKS turbocharger, a modified intake and exhaust, and a new ECU (engine control unit). With this, the engine delivers 487 PS and it is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
