Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Donates Computers to NGO and Public School image

Tahanang Walang Hagdanan and Jansenville Rizal Elementary School receive donations from Japanese automaker

"Shoki Hoko" or Corporate Responsibility to Society is one of the three guiding principles of the Mitsubishi group, with which Mitsubishi Motors, as a socially responsible automotive manufacturer continues to adopt. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) recognizes its part in enriching the society both materially and spiritually in every best ways that it can. Likewise, MMPC continues to foster the sensibilities and cultivate the healthy minds of future generation through cooperating and supporting schools, non-profit organization and industry organization. MMPC believes that promoting educational and social contribution activities are pinnacle of the social responsibilities of any company.

Last November 13, MMPC executives headed by President CEO- Mr. Masahiko Ueki, EVP & Chief Finance Officer and Treasurer- Mr. Tetsuya Wada, VP for Corporate Administration- Mr. Francisco Zafra and External Affairs Manager Mr. Jaime Recuenco headed to Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, a non-governmental organization for the physically handicapped mostly in wheelchairs, and with one of the public schools in Rizal, Jansenville Elementary School to provide its donations.

First stop for MMPC was a turn-over ceremony of personal computers and medicine supplies at the Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, where the founder Sister M. Valeriano Berts, ICM EvP and COO Ms. Joy Garcia and Board Member Sister Marieke Gielkens were present to warmly receive MMPC executives. The incorporators of Tahanang Walang Hagdanan were very grateful for the assistance provided by MMPC. The computer sets will be use for the Special Education program of Tahanang Walang Hagdanan. MMPC promised to continuously support the organization with its goal of improving the quality of life of physically disabled persons and providing them equal opportunities for growth and self-improvement. With all gratitude Tahanang Walang Hagdanan expressed how thankful they are for the continuous support on their mission.

With the intent of partnering towards the goal of providing quality education to public schools, MMPC also donated personal computers to Jansenville Elementary School in Rizal. Representatives from Jansenville Elementary School Ms. Concepcion Manding, Ms. Epifania Ditablan and some of their students witnessed the simple turn over ceremony. The students and teachers were all excited given that these will be the first computers of the school and assured MMPC that it will maximize its use for the further development of its education.

To date, MMPC actively works on activities that will empower growth and betterment of the society as it partakes on its corporate responsibility to the society. At Mitsubishi Motors, they believe that through partnering with organizations and institutions that are geared towards improvement of the society they are able to exhibit one of the corporate philosophies which is also one of the purposes of their existence.
