An evolution of the eX Crossover concept
Last October, Mitsubishi unveiled the eX Crossover concept during the Tokyo Motor Show. The automaker has now made a follow up concept and bills it as a “crossover MPV”.
To be fully revealed in the 2016 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show, Mitsubishi says that this concept will offer seating for up to seven passengers. Mitsubishi adds that the concept fuses the toughness of an SUV and the versatility of an MPV.
Based on the preview photo, it would appear that the yet to be named concept features a more upright roofline and a reshaped front fascia. A pair of roof rails and a unique tail light treatment can also be seen in this teaser photo. Like the eX Crossover Concept, it comes with Mitsubishi's signature Dynamic Shield look. According to the company, the overall look will be that of an SUV and even offer “generous” amounts of ground clearance.
The development of a new "small SUV" was included in the Japanese automaker's FY 2016 forecast, this could very likely be that vehicle.
The concept will be fully revealed on August 11 at the Indonesian International Auto Show.
