Some extended road works to go on until October 2016
Traffic is about to get a little more congested in numerous parts of National Capital Region (NCR) as five separate Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) projects have started or are set to begin this April.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is advising motorists of several scheduled, road reblockings, repairs and improvements that will be conducted with varying timelines.
Starting April 22 until October 18, A. Bonifacio in Quezon City will be under road repair and reblocking.
From April 27 until June 25, parts of Imelda Avenue in Paranaque City will be under excavation for civil works and horizontal directional drilling.
Night to early morning (11PM to 5AM) scarifying and asphalt preventive maintenance will be done on Balintawak Coverleaf in Quezon City starting April 29 until May 19.
On April 29 until September 25, the southbound lane of EDSA in Caloocan City will be repaired in order to accommodate the installation of a box culvert.
Also getting repaired between April 29 to September 25 for flood management services and the construction of a flood mitigation structure and drainage system are Villalobos and Hidalgo Street in Manila.
Motorists are being advised to seek alternative routes in order to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
