App will monitor critical areas in Bulacan and also major highways.
Such is the magnitude of the expected vehicular traffic heading to the Iglesia ni Cristo centennial celebration Sunday, July 27 that the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has developed an app called ‘INC Sentenaryo,’ which solely dedicated to disseminating information regarding the traffic situation during this weekend until Monday.
Available only for Android smartphones, the app will focus on providing updates regarding the traffic flow in areas near the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan, the venue for the INC celebration.
Launched last Wednesday and now available for download at the Google Play Store, ‘INC Sentenaryo’ will focus on roads in Bocaue, Sta. Maria, Plaridel and Calumpit in Bulacan, while also providing information regarding vehicular traffic on EDSA, Commonwealth, Quezon Avenue, España Avenue, C5, Ortigas, Marcos Highway, Roxas Boulevard, South Luzon Expressway and the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx).
The app will also assist the attendees of the event to find the nearest police or fire station and hospital in the Bocaue, Quezon City, Valenzuela, Navotas and Pasig areass in case of an emergency and will also be able to provide emergency hotline numbers.
No word yet if an iOS version will be made available.
