MMDA lifts number coding on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday
Motorists that plan to do their Visita Iglesia this coming Holy Week will be glad to know that the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), more widely known as the number coding scheme, will be suspended from March 24-25, 2016.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the suspension last Sunday on their official Twitter account. Moreover, all cities and municipalities in Metro Manila will adhere to the suspension of the number coding scheme.
Beyond that, the MMDA also announced that the number coding scheme for provincial buses will be suspended on March 23, 2016. This is to allow the said buses to ferry passengers to the provinces.
