Motorists are advised to avoid MMFF Parade route for tomorrow
If you think the traffic can’t get any worse, well, it will and it would be a good idea to just keep in mind the Christmas cheer in order to be able to grin and bear it all.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has just released the route of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade that will happen on Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Headlined by ‘My Bebe Love’, which stars the AlDub pair of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, the agency is expecting a huge turnout of fans and heavy traffic in the vicinity.
Seven more films are expected to field in floats including Buy Now, Die Later; Haunted Mansion; Hermano Pule; All You Need Is Pag-ibig; Nilalang; Walang Forever and Beauty and The Bestie.
The event starts at 1PM and will happen in Pasay City from Coral Way near SM MOA Arena all the way to the Quirino Grandstand taking JW Diokno to EDSA Extension, then Roxas Boulevard to South Road before turning right on Independence Road to destination.
Roxas Boulevard southbound from EDSA Extension to South Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 3PM but will be opened promptly as soon as the motorcade has gone through.
Motorists in the area are advised to use P. Burgos and TM Kalaw to their destination.
The MMDA will deploy 1,000 traffic enforcers to the area in order to ensure smooth traffic flow and will also be sending medical teams to respond to emergencies.
