Showcasing the future of Nissan design

At the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Nissan revealed its new Sport Sedan Concept, a reveal that was concurrent with the company's 80th year anniversary. Nissan said the new concept embodies the essence of a true sports sedan.

The Sport Sedan Concept has three advanced design elements that will be adapted to all future Nissan models. These elements are the V–motion front, the “floating” roof and the boomerang-shaped headlights and taillights. The exterior of the Sport Sedan Concept is marked by low and wide proportions, a lowered hood line and reduced ground clearance compared to traditional sedans.

The “V-motion” movement of the front panel flows from the dramatic chromed grill up to the hood. It is also incorporated with a large LED boomerang headlights and a wide windshield. The rear part of the vehicle is designed by the high deck, large chrome trunk accent. The “floating” roof adds a sense of openness and lightness as compared to traditional sedans.

Finishing off the concept is a set of custom 21-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, giving a contrast to the unique “Strad Amber” paint. The candy color paint finish is achieved through an orange-amber topcoat over a base of gold paint.

At the heart of the Sport Sedan Concept is a 300+ horsepower 3.5 liter V6 driving the rear wheels.
