Following last month's teaser, Infiniti has revealed the Q60 concept ahead of its debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week.
Dubbed as Infiniti's premium sports coupe, the Q60 concept is designed with sharp lines and aggressive look. According to the automaker, the concept took styling cues from the Q80 Inspiration that was shown last October at the Paris Motor Show. The Japanese automaker adds that the Q60 concept also borrowed some styling cues from the Q50 Eau Rouge.
“The sweeping lines of the Q80 gave the Q60 concept its coupe silhouette and looks while the Formula One-inspired touches from the Q50 Eau Rouge endowed the coupe with its sports personality,” said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director.
Up front, you can't help but notice the sharp-looking headlights of the Q60 concept along with its large mesh grill finished in black. The aggressive bumper houses the concept's air intakes which is also finished in black while the sculpted hood of the concept is integrated with distinctive lines. Turning at the side, the Q60 concept features edgy lines along with narrow exterior mirrors and what looks like a slim door handle. The concept is finished off with 21-inch wheels.
Inside, Infiniti says the Q60 concept use a variety of leathers on the seats to provide “just the perfect balance of comfort and support.” Though the official interior photo of the Q60 concept has not yet released by Infiniti, the automaker says the cabin of the concept has a 2+2 seat configuration giving rear passengers more legroom. Infiniti goes on by saying that the Q60 concept has hand-stitched leather and carbon fiber accents.
However, powertrain details are yet to be released by the Japanese automaker. In a nutshell, Infiniti claims that the Q60 concept will not compromise the “fusion of looks and speed.”
