Volvo gives a glimpse of the S80 successor
A new full-size executive sedan from Volvo will be making its official debut at the 2016 North American International Auto Show after the company released several teaser images of the all-new S90. Set to replace the S80 which was first introduced back in 2007, the S90 features a sleek exterior design that carries Volvo's current design theme.
Based on the image, the headlights have the Thor's Hammer LED daytime running lights, while the rear has a broad shoulder-line that seamlessly connects the roof and quarter panels. Over to the rear, it has aggressive C-shaped taillights, wide bumper and prominent Volvo badging on the trunk.
Powertrain and interior details were not specified but like the all-new XC90, it will be underpinned by the new Scalable Product Architecture.
Last September however, a scale model of the all-new S90 was leaked ahead of the 2016 launch. If the images are to be believed, the S90 features a contoured exterior, sweeping shoulder-line, sunroof and even dual exhausts.
