After making a cameo appearance at Nissan's Super Bowl XLIX commercial (video posted below), the automaker has announced that the 2016 Maxima will make its debut at the 2015 New York International Auto Show in April.
Based on the Sport Sedan Concept launched at the 2014 NAIAS, Nissan has described the 2016 Maxima as the brand's "flagship product" and "4-door sports car." In terms of the design, it is fitted with Nissan's V-motion front grill and a "floating" roof. Moreover, the 2016 Maxima has aggressive headlights integrated with boomerang-shaped daytime running lights.
The rear of the "4-door sports car" features distinctive taillights that wraps around the fender. It also comes with a large bumper and round exhaust pipes finished in chrome.
However, Nissan reamains secretive in sharing the vehicle's interior features and powertrain details.
