Nissan posts 17.5% sales growth compared to November 2014
Nissan has released the November 2015 sales report for Asia and Oceania markets. Based on the report, Nissan sold 24,855 units: a 17.5-percent increase from the prior year.
In Thailand, Nissan sales were at 4,899 units, a 2.9-percent increase compared from the previous year. The Japanese automaker says the Navara was the main seller during November 2015, with 1,820 units sold, while the X-Trail delivered sales of 954 units.
On the other hand, Nissan Australia posted 7,309 units sold, a 40.1-percent increase from a year earlier. Key contributors to Nissan Australia's sales were the NP300 Navara with 2,291 units sold. The X-Trail also contributed to Nissan's positive sales in Australia with 2,225 units sold. Both the NP300 Navara and the X-Trail achieved new monthly sales records since their respective market launches.
Total sales of Nissan Indonesia were 4,757 units, a 13.6-percent increase versus the previous year. Datsun GO+ was the key seller with 2,058 units sold.
In the Philippines, the NP300 Navara helped drive the momentum of Nissan sales in November 2015, along with NP350 Urvan, to 1,053 units for a 50.2-percent increase versus last year. The NP300 Navara was also named the 2015 Truck of the Year – Philippines.
Nissan Singapore also reported significant sales with 983 units sold for a 122.4-percent increase versus prior year.
