North Luzon Integrated Guide and Traffic Advisory System

Tollways Management Corporation(TMC), just launched its real-time online travel advisory system for the North Luzon Expressway(NLEX) called 'NLigtas' to enable motorists to monitor traffic situations along the expressway.

The NLigtas covers the whole stretch of the NLEX from Balintawak to Dau, including Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway's(SCTEX) Sta. Ines exit. It features color coding to help you easily identify different traffic conditions along the stretch of NLEX, the green marking symbolizes light flow of traffic and progresses to a red marking which indicates a heavy traffic.

Sensors are installed at strategic points at NLEX, while their control room detects and measures the actual speed and travel conditions and process it real-time to gives out a rough estimate of your travel time. This is the first automated real-time travel advisory in the country and can offer great convenience to motorists in planning their trips to the north.

NLigtas is now accessible on the Tollways Management Corporation’s (TMC) official website and is part of the umbrella safety program of NLEX dubbed “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko.” Although a mobile application of it still not available for download, TMC made sure to upload a mobile website for smart phones.
