Affected area stretches from Vito Cruz to Quirino Avenue
Southbound motorists passing through the Osmena highway might as well be more patient as the construction for the Skyway Stage 3 project continues to progress.
According to the Citra Central Expressway Corp. (CCEC), the main proponent of the Skyway Stage 3, the company needs to expand and to extend their worksite as bored piles and foundation works will be made for the said project between San Andres and Zobel streets "anytime soon."
Starting February 12, the four existing southbound lanes along Osmena highway from Quirino Avenue to Vito Cruz in Manila has been reduced to three. Under the said scheme, two of the outer southbound lanes shall be used by motorists going straight to Buendia onward to Magallanes. On the other hand, a portion of the existing median island has been converted to a 3.5-meter zipper lane for motorists turning left to Zobel street.
CCEC adds that traffic personnel will be deployed in the affected areas and will strategically install directional and safety signages. Moreover, the company said that the said traffic plan has been coordinated with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau.
