Honda has released details of the 2015 Civic Type-R concept II ahead of its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show this week. The Japanese automaker says the vehicle was built to be the most extreme Type-R which spurs a new performance era for the brand.

At first glance, you can see the aggressive exterior styling of the 2015 Civic Type-R. Up front, it has a sharp-looking headlights, muscular bumper and a sporty splitter. The grille of the 2015 Civic Type-R is finished in black giving the vehicle a menacing appearrance. The red strips on the hood adds to the sporty characteristic of the 2015 Civic Type-R.

The side profile of the 2015 Civic Type-R has flowing lines that extends from the vehicle's front fender. It is also designed with a red strip that gradually fades, an illusion which makes the vehicle appear to be moving even on a standstill. Moreover, the 2015 Civic Type-R is equipped with side skirts.

The aggressive exterior styling continues at the rear of the 2015 Civic Type-R. It has a slim tailights that extends up to the rear spoiler and the bumper houses four exhaust pipes along with red accents. The vehicle sits on a five-spoke 20-inch tires and features a red brake calipers.

Honda says the 2015 Civic Type-R has a number of engineering innovations that will make it a true driver's car. One of which is the new '+R' button located on the side of the steering wheel. When it is activated the engine response is heightened with a more performance-focused setting.

It also features a new four-point Adaptive Damper system that automatically adjusts the front and rear suspension damping force based on the driving conditions. With this, Honda says the 2015 Civic Type-R provides a comfortable ride.

Under the hood, the 2015 Civic Type-R is powered by a 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine from Honda's Earth Dreams Technology series that delivers 280 PS. Following the footsteps of its predecessors, the engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
