Petron-Michelin partnership offers free fuel with tire purchase image

Petron, the country's leading oil firm, has partnered with prestigious tire brand Michelin to offer Filipino consumers more value for their motoring needs. From August 1 to October 31,2007, Michelin tire buyers will receive up to P1,000-worth of free Petron fuel gift certificates when they purchase Michelin tires at participating dealers nationwide.

A single-receipt purchase of Michelin passenger car or light truck tires of the same pattern and size entitles the buyer to free Petron fuel gift certificates which can be redeemed at select Petron service stations nationwide. A set of four tires size 15-inches and above will be issued P1,000-worth of Petron vouchers; a set of four tires size 13-14 inches gets P500-worth of vouchers; a set 0f two tires 15-inches and over also gets P500-worth of free fuel.

According to Riz Dalangin, Michelin country manager for the Philippines, "As a premium brand, Michelin chose to partner with Petron in this promotional activity as we would like to be able to offer greater value to Filipino consumers. Petron's market leadership signifies that it is the preferred fuel of the majority of motorists nationwide, and we know our buyers will appreciate the complimentary fuel certificates from Petron."

Michelin, one of the leading tire manufacturers in the world, has a global presence in some 170 countries. With 70% of volume coming from replacement tire sales, Michelin is primarily focused on the consumer market. Its authorized distributor in the Philippines is Tiara Commercial and Industrial Corporation.

Petron Corporation is the largest oil refining and marketing company in the Philippines. Its 180,000 barrel-per-day oil refinery produces a full range of petroleum products to supply nearly 40% of the country's total fuel requirements.
