See a pair of special cars from Honda at the 2014 PIMS
For the last month or so, Honda Cars Philippines has been telling us that their presence at the 5th Philippine International Motor Show would involve just a pair of subcompacts in the all-new Honda Brio hatchback and Brio Amaze sedan. Well, apart from the two highly anticipated cars, it seems they had a pair of aces up their sleeves.
In a surprising reveal, Honda Cars Philippines actually brought in two special cars with the Honda NSX Concep as well as the 2013-spec Super Formula race car that won the championship with Team Mugen.
The Honda NSX Concept initially made its debut as the Acura NSX Concept at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, though this particular example brought by HCPI is the more updated Honda NSX Concept that they displayed at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The super sports hybrid car features a mid-engined layout with all wheel drive. The NSX will reportedly get a twin turbo V6 with up to three electric motors providing assistance.
The other special car on display is the Team Mugen SF13 open-wheel race car that was driven by Naoki Yamamoto in the Japanese Super Formula Championship. The SF13 is built by Swift Engineering and is powered by a V8 engine that develops over 600 horsepower. The SF13 on display won the drivers championship in Super Formula in 2013.
See both cars as well as the Brio and Brio Amaze, among others, at the Honda booth at the 5th Philippine International Motor Show happening now at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
