Intends to bring the EV concept out of the urban environment
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will exhibit the 2013 Concept CA-MiEV at the 5th Philippine International Motor Show slated on September 18-21, 2014.
First unveiled during the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show, it is the Japanese automaker's aim from letting the EV run not only in urban city environments, but letting it drive out to the countryside. This was achieved with the use of an all-in-one power unit that is comprised of an 80kw electric motor, inverter and a charger that can let it run for up to 300km. It is powered by high-density lithium-ion batteries and is backed up with improved aerodynamics. It has a targeted drag coefficient of 0.26 and features a full flat door, rear view cameras, small air intakes, and a rear diffuser.
Its other components will include a wireless charging system and smartphone activated commands that can auto-send an email in case of car theft, e-calling during emergencies and map syncing.
