Test drive the company's latest prototype on winding roads
Have you ever considered becoming a development test driver for a sports car manufacturer? Porsche is now giving you the chance to a prototype with the Porsche Driving Challenge contest.
Before cars go into production, prototypes spend millions of miles on the road in various conditions. For real world tests, car companies hire test drivers to push their upcoming cars to the limit and thanks to their inputs, cars are near faultless by the time they arrive on the showroom floor. With Porsche's driving challenge contest, the company is giving you the chance to drive a yet to be named new model with Patrick Long, Porsche's factory driver and a three-time American Le Mans Series driver's champion.
The contest runs from February 12 to the 17th. Applicants should at least be 25 years old with 5 years worth of driving experience as well as high proficiency in the English language. To enter the contest, record a 30 second video and explain why you deserve to be chosen as a test driver for Porsche's newest model. To submit your video, one may sent it though a special WhatsApp, Line or WeChat number or upload your video on Youtube and put the link in the online application form.
Porsche will be picking two winners and will be sending them to Germany to undergo extensive training with Patrick Long on February 26 to 27. Afterwards, the two drivers will be sent to the winding French Pyrenees roads to drive the new car on April 2 to April 3.
