7 generations of the Porsche 911 were put on display at Tagaytay Highlands
Porsche Philippines celebrated the 50th anniversary of the iconic 911 at Tagaytay Highlands on October 6. With the celebration, the company brought out models that represent the seven generations of the rear-engine sports car, and put them on display for an added nostalgia.
The 911 models present that day were the Type 901, the G-Model, the 993, the 994, the 996, the 997, and the 991.
At present, over 820,000 Porsche 911s have been produced globally. The sheer number makes it one of the most successful sports car to date. Since its first production, the 911 underwent a gradual evolution to its current incarnation without losing its classic lines. Moreover, the car receives new ideas and technology that makes it a better performer both on the road and on the track. The Porsche 911 was built to be a true sports car.
