German automaker is first for attractiveness and quality
American customers have awarded Porsche the top spot as the most popular brand of car for the 9th consecutive time. This is the result of the J.D. Power and Associates’ recent Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study (APEAL). In July, Porsche was the winner of the Initial Quality Study.
Among the Porsche line-up, the Cayenne has its own winning streak, being at the peak spot for the Midsize Premium CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) segment for a third time. It was also voted 3rd in the entire study. The Boxster got the Highest Ranked Appeal award in the Compact Premium Sporty category while the legendary 911 was second in the Midsize Premium Sporty Car category.
The rankings were based on results obtained from categories such as driving dynamics, design, suitability for daily use and vehicle comfort. The said annual study involved more than 83,000 new car buyers and a total of 230 different models registered from November 2012 to February 2013
