Will be enforced soon after the MMDA and QC officials meet today

As the MMDA starts implementation of the 'one truck lane' policy today, Quezon City is also considering a similar traffic scheme to alleviate the congestion on their roads.

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has indicated Congressional Avenue, Mindanao Avenue and Visayas Avenue as the priorities in implementing the truck-only lanes.

A meeting has been set for today between QC's Department of Public Order and Safety and the MMDA to draw up the rules and regulations, and to deliver final implementation as soon as possible.

"To avoid swerving and control the trucks, we’ll have dedicated lanes. That’s the agreement with the (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority)," said Elmo San Diego, DPOS chief.
