Traffic is about to get worse
Motorists passing through Senator Gil Puyat Avenue should be more patient as traffic is about to get worse.
According to a report, a source at the Department of Public Works and Highways said that the target “start date” for the construction of the Senator Gil Puyat/Makati Avenue-Paseo de Roxas vehicle underpass project is today, June 15, 2015.
The report adds that DPWH Secretary Rogelio Singson reportedly said in a statement that the agency were coordinating with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and Makati officials for the traffic management within the area of the project site.
Previously, the DPWH announced that the construction activities for the 880 lineal meters underpass is set to start last April. The DPWH also said that the construction of the PhP 1.27 billion underpass will take 22 months and it is expected to provide uninterrupted traffic flow along Senator Gil Puyat Avenue through Makati Avenue and Paseo de Roxas Avenue.
