Meet India's soon to be first supercar: the M-Zero

Mean Metal Motors, an Indian automotive start-up company, plans to build India's first supercar dubbed as the M-Zero.

According to a report by NDTV Auto, the M-Zero will feature a carbon-fiber monocoque tub chassis and lightweight construction.

The M-Zero is being developed by four teams from four countries. Teams in Portugal and Italy are in charge of the supercar's body and styling while the UK team looks after the simulations and analysis. On the other hand, the team in India is developing M-Zero's engine, transmission, aerodynamics, electronics and energy storage systems.

In terms of power, India's first supercar will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain as well as a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine that reportedly delivers 811 PS. Mean Meal Motors claims that the M-Zero can go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of 320 km/h.
