2017 Peugeot 508 will reportedly be fitted with semi-autonomous driving tech
Peugeot is set to introduce self-driving technology on the next-generation 508 midsize sedan as reported by Automotive News Europe.
According to a PSA spokesman, PSA/Peugeot-Citroen CEO Carlos Tavares stated during the company's annual meeting last April 29, 2015 that the 508 will be fitted with semi-autonomous driving features which will pave the way for fully autonomous driving in the future.
The spokesman added that such technology will be present in the upcoming 508 while also including hands-free steering and braking control in traffic congestion, highways and for parking.
It is expected to be launched sometime in 2017.
