Hyundai and tuner John Pangilinan teams up for another SEMA concept
Another collaboration between Hyundai and tuner John Pangilinan aims to develop a custom Hyundai Genesis Coupe in an Atlantis Blue exterior color. Pangilinan is known in the tuner community for the color themes he uses for his Hyundai SEMA concepts.
In the engine bay, Pangilinan installed parts that entry-level tuners would opt to choose. It includes an AEM cold air intake, ARK Performance exhaust, and a turbo downpipe. For the vehicle’s suspension, he installed KW Variant 3 coil-overs, Whiteline sway bars, and an ARK Performance strut bar. For the wheels, he decided to install 19” MORR VS52 concave mono-forged wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes tires. The wheels provides enough space for the 15” callipers from the Brembo Gran Turismo brake kit used in the car.
Exterior aesthetics highlight the drivetrain of the Genesis Coupe with a staggered look from TS Designs custom metal fender flares. To create a more aerodynamic look, an APR carbon fiber splitter, and Seibon carbon fiber side and rear lip kits were installed. The Genesis Coupe also features custom headlights with V-LEDS from The Retrofit Source. The BASF Atlantis Blue Metallic paint was applied by Auto Explosion while custom graphics were created by S&A Design.
Inside the car, it is equipped with RECARO Cross Sportster seats with a custom Katzkin suede and smooth leather treatment. Takata Drift III harnesses are attached to a custom harness bar to secure the driver and the passenger. Also a GoPro Heero 3 video camera was installed on the harness. But one of the highlights of the car is its entertainment features. Pangilinan used the following: Alpine Electronics System by BP Auto Sound, Scosche Electronics, Kinetik power supply and battery, and V-LEDS lighting.
