American automaker Chevrolet recently released images and details of 5 concepts that will debut during the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada next month. The cars that received the performance and aesthetic – oriented modifications are the SS Sport, Sonic, Impala and the Cruze.

The concepts will highlight the brand's customizing prowess while still maintaining each car's refinement and ride quality. Most of the accessories and add-ons that can be put on the car are engineered by General Motors and most are now available from Chevrolet dealers. Moreover, the add-ons will not void the warranty of the car.

“Chevrolet’s 2015 passenger car lineup is one of the strongest and most competitive in the industry, offering customers a wide range of great-looking, great-driving and well-connected choices. They’re personal cars, too, and these concepts suggest possibilities of how to amplify Chevrolet’s heritage of performance and fun-to-drive spirit to make them even more personal,” said Paul Edwards, Vice President, Chevrolet Marketing.

The SS Sport Concept has a uniquely named exterior finish called Some Like It Red Hot and is accompanied by body-color door handles and side mirrors. The front section of the car receives an array of accessories that includes a stripe finish on the hood, a grill kit, fog lamp bezels and side fender vents. High-gloss black finished 20x8.5-inch wheels are present at the front while the rear gets 20x9-inch wheels with the same finish. At the rear, the trunk lid also gets the stripe finish and is equipped with a spoiler. The inside of the SS Sport has a sport pedal kit, cargo net and floor mats and cargo tray decorated with the Holden logo. Powering the car is a LS3 – V8 that produces 421 PS and 563 Nm of torque. Starting 2015, it will be available in a 6-speed manual version alongside the 6-speed paddle shift automatic, equipped with the brand's Magnetic Ride Control dampening system and new rear Brembo brakes that now accompany the front Brembo units.

The Green Sonic

Second to receive Chevy upgrades is the Synergy Green colored Sonic. It is a performance-oriented concept that has white trim surrounds covering the headlights, taillights and grill. The side mirrors and rear spoiler are also finished in white. The wheels are also finished in white and are 17-inches in diameter. Inside the cabin, Chevrolet Accessories floor mats, door sills and sport pedals highlight the interior while Bluetooth connectivity provides wireless amenity. Ten airbags come as standard as well as safety features that include Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning.

Under the hood is a 1.4-liter turbo engine that is tuned with a Chevrolet Performance Stage Kit cold air-intake system and a high-flow exhaust system that lets the engine create more power. No specific PS and Nm rating were relased. Chevrolet Performance also provided a track-tuned suspension that also gives the car a lower, sportier stance.

The White Sonic

Next up is another Sonic but it is painted in Summit White with offset black stripes and is an accessory focused concept. White ring trims are placed on the headlights and taillights while black is used on the car's grill, side mirrors, rear spoiler and 17-inch wheels. It has a lowered stance like the green Sonic thanks to Chevrolet Performance's track-tuned suspension.

The fourth car to get the add-ons is the Impala Blackout concept car. It is based on the 2015 MY and from the name alone, it has a black-themed exterior that can be seen on the grill surround, rear spoiler, mirror caps and the 19-inch aluminum wheels.
