All-new attitude, ready to make tracks

Chevrolet recently revealed the Trax Activ Concept at this year's Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.

“The Trax Activ concept is all about adventurous fun. We’ve increased its capability and matched it with styling enhancements that give it an all-new attitude ― it’s a Trax that’s ready to make tracks,” said Todd Parker, design director, exterior component and accessories.

Starting with the exterior, the 2017 Trax AWD concept's suspension was lifted while the track widened, complementing the 18-inch Chevrolet accessories wheels wrapped with all-terrain tires. Meanwhile, both the rear and fascias were redesigned. Such combination offers greater ground clearance, improved approach, departure angles as well as added grip off the highway.

The concept sports a Satin Sandstorm exterior color accented with Carbon Flash rockers and fender flares, including red tow hooks, tinted headlamp, and taillamp lenses.

Other amenities include a custom fender flares that provide protection, an accessory thule roof basket that improves cargo capability, and a custom LED light bar that offers exceptional illumination on dark trails.

Its interior, on the other hand, has an accessory all-weather floor liners that complement the Jet Black interior, which also features unique Satin Graphite accents. The Trax’s standard 60/40-split-folding rear seat and fold-flat front passenger seat offer great versatility for hauling bikes and other outdoor equipment.
