Comparing the 2016 Montero Sport with other PPV competitors, size-wise
The Pickup Platform Vehicle (PPV) war has reached an all time high as Mitsubishi recently introduced their take on the lucrative segment with the 2016 Montero Sport (Pajero Sport). Recently launched in Thailand last August 1, the 2016 Montero Sport was developed by the company with the concept of a 'stylish and comfortable off-road SUV. The new Mitsubishi Montero Sport is set to take on the likes of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Ford Everest, Isuzu mu-X and the recently-launched Toyota Fortuner.
Now sporting a more sophisticated and modern look, we stack up the TH-spec 2016 Montero Sport against other PPV offerings that are currently and will soon be available in the Philippine market.
Even with the added 90mm in body length, the 2016 Montero Sport is still the shortest in the segment. The 1815mm width has been carried over from the previous generation, which still makes it the narrowest PPV as well. It also gets a substantial height reduction though the 1840mm height from the outgoing generation also comes with the roof rails measurement.
