Clark Airport seen as viable alternate transport hub

Metro Manila's streets will not be the only network that will be decongested as President Duterte also plans on shifting several airline operations from Ninoy Aquino International Airpot (NAIA) to Clark.

He proposed that Clark Airport should be used to handle several international and domestic airlines so as to alleviate NAIA. Moreover, President Duterte also plans on transferring general aviation operations (private airplanes) to Sangley Point in Cavite. This will allow more airplane traffic to come and go from NAIA.

“The Clark Airport can be utilized to shift some operations of our domestic and international airlines,” said President Duterte.

There is also good news for those that frequently fly after the president also proposed to extend the validity of the passport from five years to ten years.
