Revised front-end, rear doors among new parts in Jaguar XF
Despite seeming to be a bit early for a facelift, Jaguar appears to be working on a heavily revised version of the current XF saloon.
After having checked with the UK’s Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, our spies have confirmed that this is indeed a new Jaguar prototype. Given its heavy camouflage, it looks to be an updated version of the current model XF outfitted with new panels and lights.
If you squint hard enough, you will see that the front headlamp bears a different shape – something closer to that of a teardrop. The rear door lines also appear to be lifted off the long wheelbase (LWB) version of the car despite it being of standard dimensions. That besides, the C-pillar and trunk area are all heavily covered – hinting to bigger changes to those areas as well.
All this considered though, the current XF is still awaiting its wagon as well as its SVR high-performance versions. It appears we may have to wait awhile to see this updated XF in sheet metal.
