Audi appears to be also testing a new-generation S8 after our spies were able to get pictures the upcoming high-performance sedan being tested on 'The Green Hell'.
Like the camouflaged A8 that we previously reported, the S8 also gets the same treatment along with slightly similar aesthetics. However, one telltale sign that it's a new prototype of the new S8 is the presence of the signature S quad exhaust pipes.
It is also expected to have slightly different front and rear bumpers for better aerodynamics and to distinguish itself from the standard A8.
Also, the new A8 will be underpinned by the new MLB Evo platform which Audi claimed will be much lighter than its predecessor.
One of the engines that will reportedly be used in the new S8 is the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6. Derived from the Porsche Panamera 4S, the new engine may produce well over 440 PS. When launched in the new S8, it is expected to produce similar output ratings.
