Redesigned Aventador sports new aero package

With a slew of new Huracan models coming in for Lamborghini, the supercar maker has now turned its attention to their current halo car, the Aventador. The latest batch of photos our spies sent up reveal that Lamborghini is hard at work fine-tuning the chassis for the revamped Aventador.

Although the new Aventador is still draped in camouflage, one can see that the general shape of the supercar has been retained. New however is the front bumper, featuring a different air intake design and repositioned slats. Our spies suggest that the redesigned front fascia will resemble that of the range-topping SV.

On to its side, the spies spotted an extra pair of large air intakes on to the rear fender, perhaps to aid in cooling down the V12 engine. The updated Aventador also gets an enhanced aero package with reshaped air outlets and a bigger diffuser. In line with the bigger diffuser, the new Aventador's rear bumper also gets tweaked.

Although the interior is not seen, expect some input from Audi for the Aventador's infotainment system. The LCD instrument panel may also get a refresh, as well as the minor interior details.

Lamborghini has also given the Aventador a new exhaust system. Replacing the quad-pipes is a bigger unit that is split three ways. While it likely carries over the 6.5 liter, naturally aspirated V12 from the current model, our spies say that the new Aventador may get a 20 to 40 PS power bump. At the moment, power output for the Aventador is rated at 700 PS and 689 Nm of torque.
