Beefier V6 Twin Turbo may power the new coupe
After having revealed the new A5 and S5, Audi has yet to drop the curtain on the big dog of the coupe’s lineup. Fortunately however our spies have recently identified the new RS5 doing rounds at the Nürburgring already wearing its production-spec body pieces.
While the RS5 has previously been seen testing, it is only now that the new front fascia is seen installed on the new coupe. Sporting larger polygonal air ducts, the front makes the RS5 appear wider over a standard A5 or S5; Perhaps this is a hint at a larger track and improved handling pieces all throughout.
So far there has been no word with regards to the new RS5’s interior. Judging from previous iterations, expect to see the coupe to have heaps of alcantara trim, a flat-bottom steering wheel, as well as huge bolsters for the front seats.
On the power end of things, the RS5 may likely have a beefed up version of the S5’s Twin Turbo V6. Coming from the S5’s 350PS motor, the powerplant to be found on the RS5 could be somewhere in the neighborhood of 450PS.
Expect to see the RS5 make its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
