BRZ, part 2

What was once called the Toyota FT-86 has evolved into the Subaru BRZ. But wait, there's more as STI, or Subaru Tecnica International (the brand's famous tuning arm) has had a hand in the new car.

Now it's called the Subaru BRZ Concept - STI. Yes, STI will be in the official name of the car.

The BRZ Concept - STI will be a rear wheel drive compact sports car developed between Subaru and Toyota. The car will get a horizontally opposed engine (boxer) and a low center of gravity. Subaru claims the car will realize their "Pure Handling Delight" driving experience.

It is yet unclear if the drivetrain will also be symmetrical as with their four-wheel drive systems (Symmetrical All Wheel Drive), but it's a safe guess that they will. The car will also carry several STI touches according to Subaru.
