Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) received recognitions in the field of vehicle services during the 2015 Isuzu World Technician Competition (IWTC) held last November 4 at the company's technical facility in Tokyo, Japan.
The 2015 IWTC was participated by different Isuzu subsidiaries worldwide wherein each company sent delegates to compete against other teams under different service categories to demonstrate their technical competency.
During the competition, team Isuzu PH bagged the top spot in the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Division-Category B. The team was headed by Coach Napoleon Marquez with Technicians Ramie Monterola (Isuzu Makati) and Arman Bulahan (Isuzu Davao).
In addition, team Isuzu PH took second place in the Light Commercial Vehicle Division. The team was headed by Coach Ernesto Corocoto, Jr. (IPC) with Technicians Martt Erruze Pugay (Isuzu Pasig) and Ruben Cerillo, Jr. (Isuzu Pasig).
IPC President Hajime Koso was elated that they have been a constant winner in the annual meet. According to Koso, the accomplishment shows the kind of service that the local arm of Isuzu has been providing in the Philippine automotive industry.
“Last year, the mechanics from IPC finished second in Category B, which is on Emission Regulation for N-Series, Euro 4 or Lesser. Two years ago, they have also been in the top three. These mechanics are artists in their own way. I hope that they continue to strive hard to deliver quality services to the Filipino automotive market,” Koso said.
Designed to determine their technicians’ knowledge and techniques, the Isuzu World Technical Competition is intended to reinforce the level of service of the Isuzu brand.
