Limited edition Toyota 86 with special orange theme launched in Japan
After the debut of the recently updated Toyobaru twins, Subaru immediately released a limited-run variant of the BRZ called the Series Yellow Edition. Now, Toyota has come up with their own special model in the form of the Solar Orange Limited.
Available only for the Japanese market, the two-door sports coupe receives a unique orange theme throughout the car, along with extra goodies that will deliver better handling and stopping power.
Based off the mid-range GT model in Japan, the 86 gets a unique exterior finish from its namesake. Other exterior kit available for the Solar Orange Limited 86 include the: GT Limited pedastal rear wing, along with a front aerokit.
Inside, the special edition 86 get orange contrast-stitching which can be seen on the bucket seats, steering wheel, handbrake lever, gear shifter, door cards and dashboard. Other than that, the Solar Orange Limited also comes with the Grand Luxe fabric dashboard trim, Alcantara trim and heated seats.
Power comes from the familiar 2.0-liter FA20 Boxer engine that puts out 207 PS and 212 Nm of torque. Available transmissions include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
To make the most out of the sports coupe, Toyota is also offering the High Performance Package for the Solar Orange Limited 86. The package comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes and Sachs Performance dampers.
