Donation part of Metrobank Group outlay of PhP50-Million for disaster relief
Toyota Motor Philippines and Toyota Financial Services Philippines pledged a donation of PhP10-Million for victims of super typhoon Yolanda which has ravaged cities and towns in the provinces of Leyte, Iloilo, Capiz, Eastern Samar, Aklan, Antique, Palawan and Cebu.
The companies are part of the Metrobank Group which made a total donation of PhP50-Million to assist in relief operations and rebuilding of damaged structures. The donation was made through the Metrobank Foundation Inc. and GT-Metro Foundation Inc.
Its Japanese principal, Toyota Motor Corporation has meanwhile said that it will be donating a large amount of money to aid in the relief operations as well.
The super typhoon has also left 13 dead in Vietnam and 3 dead in China; and damaged property and infrastructure.
