Refreshed Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series officially makes PH debut

The 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser has just made its Philippine debut after Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) launched the updated flagship SUV at the Society Lounge Bar & Resto in Makati City. Bearing a more chiseled front end, the 2016 Land Cruiser will be available in two variants and also features an array of added safety tech and creature comforts.

Starting with its dimensions, the 2016 Land Cruiser is bigger and taller. It measures 5,095mm long (+145mm), 1,980mm (+10mm) wide and 1,945mm (+40mm) tall. The new Premium model measures 5,170mm long, thanks to the addition of a bumper overrider. Its 2,850mm wheelbase however has been carried over from the predecessor.

Design-wise, the Land Cruiser now has a more prominent front end, which consists of new Bi-LED headlights, restyled bumper and chrome grill and reshaped foglights. Over to the rear, it gets new LED combination taillights, new bumper and thicker chrome garnish. Rounding off the exterior revisions of the 2016 Land Cruiser is a set of new 18-inch alloy wheels.

Climbing aboard, illuminated door scuff plates greet the passengers along with a new 4-zone automatic climate control. For the driver, there's a new steering wheel design, meter gauge panel with a 4.2-inch multi-information display, a reworked center console, and a cool box storage.
