Can affect the steering control
Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., has announced that they will conduct a voluntary safety recall of around 5,650 2014 Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon and Avalon Hybrid vehicles.
The said voluntary safety recall intends to fix the left front suspension lower arm which may have a faulty bolt hole that connects to the ball joint. Toyota says that the lower arm could separate from the ball joint in the event of a severe impact. Moreover, the separation of the two components can cause a loss of steering control.
As of this writing, there have been no reports of accidents and fatalities related to the issue. Toyota USA says owners of the affected vehicles will receive a notification and dealers will replace the left front lower suspension arm with a new one.
