Out to challenge the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the Koenigsegg One:1
Trion Supercars from California is set on moving hypercar superiority from Europe to the USA with the confirmation that it will produce the Nemesis RR in January 2016.
The Nemesis RR falls under the category of hypercar – a vehicle that has better specifications than a supercar – and will be powered by a 9.0L twin-turbo V8 mated to a eight-speed sequential transmission producing 2,028 PS and will reach 0-100kph in 2.8 seconds. Unofficial top speed is 439kph, which makes it faster than the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and will be as fast as the Koenigsegg One:1.
The carbon fiber monocoque is help up by a pushrod-based suspension system on a four-wheel drive system equipped with carbon ceramic brakes and handling is improved by active aerodynamics.
Aside from a highly-advanced interior with Internet connectivity, the Nemesis has the option to run on ‘Predator Mode,’ which allows it to modify mood lighting, ride height, suspension settings and exhaust sound.
While clearly for speed, it still does have utilitarian function with the trunk able to accommodate luggage and even golf clubs.
The prototype is set to be built by February 2015 and production units will hit the line by January 2016 with a modest target of 50 units for starters.
