Preemptive measure for several big events in Manila
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has suspended the 24/7 truck lane along Roxas Boulevard starting this week to prepare for the opening of major events like the Christmas Bazaar and the Metro Manila Film Festival’s Parade of Stars.
This is also a measure to alleviate the already worse traffic conditions caused by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) repairs on the center island of Roxas Boulevard.
The agency assures business owners that these changes will have minimal effect on their livelihood as alternate lanes for the trucks have already been designated.
