Manila suspends towing operations due to reports of rampant abuse
Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno has suspended all towing operations in the city due to multiple complaints and reports of abuse that were supposedly done by private towing companies.
“Since last year, we have suspended 73 traffic enforcers and several towing trucks and personnel already but apparently, this is not enough so i have decided to temporarily suspend its operations,” said Moreno.
The vice mayor added that they plan to set things straight and properly brief enforcers and towing companies in order for the abuse to stop. They are also taking action against offenders but there seems to be no effect as the perpetrators are still going at it.
“We will look into this and will make sure that the abusers will be held responsible”, ended Moreno.
