Dune Concept offers a cool Beetle offroad look
Volkswagen took the covers off the Beetle Dune Concept at the 2014 North American International Auto Show aiming to offer a cool Beetle offroad look.
The iconic design of the Beetle and the Bi-Xenon round headlights were preserved, but the front part of the car has a new hood design with a raised center section with prominent air vents. The front apron of the Beetle is also redesigned with large central air intake. The Beetle Dune Concept is also equipped with LED foglights and turn signal.
Part of the Beetle Dune Concept offroad look is the Skis which are mounted to the outside part of the trunk lid. Furthermore, the Beetle Dune Concepts’s interior is equipped with a high-resolution 7.7-inch infotainment touchscreen system.
The Dune Concept uses the Beetle R-line’s 213 ps turbocharged direct-injection engine TSI 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It is combined with a six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.
