Volkswagen Philippines has a busy year ahead as it is preparing to launch several new models. The series of model launches will kick off with the 2015 Golf GTI which was first previewed locally at the 5th Philippine International Motor Show last September 2014.
According to Volkswagen PH Chief Operating Adviser Klaus Schadewald, the company will bring the 2015 Golf GTI during the first week of February.
Up front, the 2015 Golf GTI is equipped with sharp-looking headlights along with a narrow grill. The mesh bumper of the vehicle houses the LED foglights that features horizontal strakes on either sides.
The rear is fitted with GTI LED taillights, GTI color-keyed rear spoiler and GTI tailpipes. The vehicle is finished off with 18-inch GTI 'Austin' wheels.
Inside, Volkswagen made use of premium materials and soft-touch plastics throught the cabin. It also has a GTI-specific instrument cluster and a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel. The seats of the 2015 Golf GTI features a combination of 'Clark' fabric and Alcantara.
It is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI inline-4 engine that delivers 220 PS at 4500-6200 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1500-4400 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed DSG transmission.
